Media Training

The best option among small business marketing ideas

Most companies claim their small business marketing ideas are superior to other options. But most are too expensive for the SME market. This is where Seeking Publicity is different.  It allows small businesses to receive the benefits of PR marketing without the expensive pricetag. By learning the skills to get their own free media publicity, they receive all the subsequent coverage free of charge. Among small business marketing ideas, this has to be the best as publicity raises credibility and reputations like nothing else while also developing strong sales leads.  For entrepreneurs who learn the skills themselves, they can build their media profile without paying the media one cent for the privilege.

Media Secrets 101 (Video Training)

This is the flagship product of Seeking Publicity. It involves participants receiving a video through email every week for 12 weeks. The 10 to 15 minute sessions explain how to get media coverage. Topics include everything from how to find the right media to target, to press release writing, to media interviews, to taking the campaign online. Find out more by clicking here. The page you arrive at will ask you for your name and email address. I assure you we will not pass that address on to anyone.

Media Secrets 101 plus support

Media Secrets 101 is self explanatory, but some people like a support network around them to discuss the topics after the sessions. Each week there is also a small amount of homework to complete. Some people like to present their homework to an expert to assure them they are on track, while others like a sounding board or someone on hand to provide advice.  At any stage, participants can email info@mediasecrets101.com to organise a 30 minute telephone consultation with an expert. These will be charged out at $70 and billed separately to mediasecrets101. Reminders of this optional service will be posted in the weekly emails that are sent out with the video links.

Media Mentoring

This takes the form of a one hour telephone strategy meeting every month. The first meeting will discuss your business and the publicity opportunities that become apparent. We will then discuss ways for you to implement them, including a set of actions to complete for the following month. The meetings will involve brainstorming, the identification of news angles that may interest the media and suggestions for which media to approach. Clients receive unlimited email support throughout the month. This can involve editing media material. There is no time limit on the mentoring, so clients can cancel at any time.

Mentoring is used by some people as support after completing mediasecrets101 or media publicity workshops, while others enjoy the support mechanism it offers and the motivation to keep on top of public relations activities. Whatever the reason, it helps business people stay focused on what is the most powerful tool among small business marketing ideas. Mentoring is $450+GST per month.
