Media Training
Media Secrets 101 (Video Media Training)
This product is designed for small business people who recognise the benefits of publicity, but have a limited marketing budget. It involves participants receiving a video through email every week for 12 weeks. The 10 to 15 minute sessions explain how to get media coverage. Topics include everything from how to find the right media to target, to press release writing, to media interviews, to taking the campaign online. Find out more by clicking here. The page you arrive at will ask you for your name and email address. I assure you we will not pass that address on to anyone.
Media Interview Training
These half day workshops teach entrepreneurs how to conduct media interviews. While this is covered briefly in “Get your own free publicity workshops”, this course goes into detail and includes participants facing the camera. Everything is covered from what to do when a journalist rings to how to get the most out of the subsequent interview. This is important information for entrepreneurs who want positive media coverage. It is equally vital to know in preparation for a crisis that could threaten any business at any time.
Participation is $549 per person.

Media Mentoring
This takes the form of a one hour telephone strategy meeting every month. The first meeting will discuss your business and the publicity opportunities that become apparent. We will then discuss ways for you to implement them, including a set of actions to complete for the following month. The meetings will involve brainstorming, the identification of news angles that may interest the media and suggestions for which media to approach. Clients receive unlimited email support throughout the month. This can involve editing media material. There is no time limit on the mentoring, so clients can cancel at any time.
Mentoring is used by some people as support after completing mediasecrets101 or media training workshops, while others enjoy the support mechanism it offers and the motivation to keep on top of public relations activities. Whatever the reason, it helps business people stay focused. Mentoring is $450+GST per month.
